Shapoorji lowest bidder for Rajpath project

Shapoorji Pallonji and Company has emerged as the lowest bidder for the Central Vista Avenue and Rajpath redevelopment project, quoting Rs 477.08 crore. This bid amount is 4.99 per cent lower than the estimated cost, according to the bid documents of Central Public Works Department (CPWD). Quoting Rs 488.78 crore, Tata Projects has turned out to be second-lowest bid for the ambitious project in New Delhi. This project is being executed under the Union government’s Central Vista revamp project, worth Rs 13,500 crore. The redevelopment work of the historic Rajpath is scheduled to be completed before the Republic Day parade of 2022. The Rajpath redevelopment includes development of underpasses, underground amenity blocks, large-scale stone work as well as horticulture work.
