Riding high on hopes in 2022, Pride Hotels targets to take its property tally to 50 by year-end

With current portfolio of 36 hotels, the Pride Group of Hotels is hoping to achieve the target of 50 properties nationally in 2022. In the last six months, the Mumbai-headquartered luxurt hotel chain has signed many properties on management contracts, with most of the new hotels on the verge of completion.  


“Our focus will be on an asset-light model for expansion with a major slice of the portfolio managed directly by us. As a part of our expansion, we recently added resorts and hotels in Mussoorie, Dapoli, Manjusar and Alkapuri in Vadodara, Udaipur, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Bharuch, Daman and Aatapi,” discloses Pride Hotels Chairman and Managing Director S P Jain.  


The hospitality company has recruited people from nearby villages and small cities on its staff, trained them and provided them a means of livelihood to generate local employment. “We firmly believe that this is the way forward for sustainable and responsible tourism and hospitality. The safety of our guests and staff is our utmost priority, and we make sure to maintain the trust that our guests have shown us. All our staff members are vaccinated,” adds Mr Jain. 


Pride Hotels has launched a new initiative, India Dekho With Pride (See India With Pride), in the direction of promoting India as a safe and viable destination for tourism and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and events). From majestic mountains, quaint villages, spectacular landscapes, pristine beaches, exotic wildlife, captivating history, unique culture to delectable food, India Dekho With Pride helps find the best tourist distination beyond the beaten path, notes Mr Jain.  


Pride Group of Hotels, with its presence across 36 great locations in India, boasts of 3,213 rooms, more than 70 restaurants, 92 banquet and conference halls and is one of the fastest-growing hotel chains in India.  


“Being a truly Indian brand, we start with a traditional Namaskar, and we also welcome our guests with a tikka, aarti and garland. Pride Hotel incorporates the five senses of traditional Indian welcome, namely fragrance, music, ambiance, regional Indian paintings and frescoes and mouth-watering, home-made Indian cuisines. All our public areas play local regional music. All the artworks of the rooms and public areas have taken inspiration from local architecture, culture and colours,” points out Mr Jain.
