Bihar’s Industry Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said recently that there was no Inspector Raj in the State. Mr Hussain added that instead there was Minister Raj, and that the minister would wholeheartedly welcome all industrialists to invest in Bihar by help them in setting up industries. “I am ready to provide any help. Come to Bihar fearlessly and invest and set up industries,” added Mr Hussain, addressing industrialists at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (PHDCCI) headquarters in Delhi recently.

The industry minister said that along with industrial development, Bihar had the potential to be successful. He further added that rich resources and facilities available in the State would help industries to be successful there.

Mr Hussain added that the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was to make Bihar a developed State. Accordingly, a number of incentives was available for investors to set up industries in the State.

The industry minister disclosed that over the last one year, he had not allowed even a single investor, who had come to Bihar, to return disappointed. He further added that the ever-increasing investment proposals for setting up industries in Bihar were proof that excellent return on investment (RoI) was guaranteed in Bihar.

Many industrialists who had participated in the meeting said that the perception of Bihar had changed and assured that they would invest and set up industries across Bihar. Earlier in the day, two MoUs were signed with SIDBI to promote MSMEs in Bihar. The State has managed to get investments to the tune of around Rs 38,000 crore in the last one year.
