Bajaj Housing Finance makes a dazzling debut on BSE, lists at 114.28% premium

Bajaj Housing Finance became the most-valued housing finance company in the country, following its blockbuster market debut on Monday.
The Bajaj Housing Finance stock was listed at Rs 150 on BSE and NSE, reflecting a jump of 114.28 per cent from the issue price of Rs 70.
On BSE, it zoomed by 135.7 per cent to settle at Rs 164.99 — its upper circuit limit. At NSE, the company’s shares surged by 135.71 per cent to settle at the upper circuit limit of Rs 165.
At the close of trade, its market capitalisation stood at Rs 1.37 lakh crore.
This is the fourth finance company from the Bajaj stable to be listed on the exchanges. Bajaj Finance has a market capitalisation of Rs 4.54 lakh crore, Bajaj Finserv Rs 2.96 lakh crore and Bajaj Holdings and Investment Rs 1.16 lakh crore.
The Rs 6,560-crore initial public offer (IPO) of Bajaj Housing, which had closed last Wednesday, had received a huge investors’ response with 88.94 lakh applications from investors worth Rs 3.24 lakh crore, the highest amount received for any IPO at the upper end of the price band.
The net public offer was at Rs 4,802 crore and anchor investor quota at Rs 1,758 crore. The issue was subscribed by 63.61 times.
