RECPDCL hands over two SPVs of transmission projects to Power Grid Corporation

REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC, the Maharatna CPSU under the aegis of the Ministry of Power, has handed over two project-specific special purpose vehicles (SPVs) of ISTS Transmission Projects – Bidar Transco and Khavda V-B1B2 Power Transmission – under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route to Power Grid Corporation of India in Gurugram on February 18, 2025.
Power Grid Corporation of India had emerged as the transmission service provider (TSP) to develop both the transmission projects on the Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis through TBCB process conducted by RECPDCL, the bid process coordinator.
The SPVs were handed over by RECPDCL CEO T S C Bosh to Power Grid Corporation of India Executive Director Pankaj Pandey in the presence of senior officials of RECPDCL, PGCIL and Central Transmission Utility of India. Both the projects took 24 months to be implemented.
