RECPDCL hands over WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission SPV to Adani Energy

REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC, a State-run Maharatna corporation under the aegis of Ministry of Power, has handed over a project-specific SPV (special purpose vehicle) of ISTS Transmission Project under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route, namely WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission, to Adani Energy Solutions. The estimated cost of the project is around Rs 1,807.46 crore.
Adani Energy Solutions had emerged as the transmission service provider through the TBCB process conducted by RECPDCL, the bid process coordinator, for development of the transmission project on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis.
The SPV was handed over by T S C Bosh, the CEO of RECPDCL, to Sanjay Arvind Johri, the vice-president (BD) of Adani Energy Solutions, in the presence of senior executives of RECPDCL, Adani Energy Solutions and Central Transmission Utility of India. The implementation period of the project is till January 1, 2028.
The scheme covers establishment of 765/400 kv (2x1500 mva) sub-station near the south of Kalamb, along with other associated works.
RECPDCL has been providing knowledge-based consultancy and expert project implementation services to several State power distribution companies and power departments of States. It has also been implementing transmission projects in Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
